Recently Help's Handyman Ministry rehabbed a house for a single mother with 7 children that was initially referred to us by a Gabriel Project Angel. I asked Lou Paiz, our High School Religious Education Director, if his Antioch group would like to help out, and by God's grace, he made it their "Home Mission" trip.

Jim Harrington and Jerry Newkirk had their hands full with the rubble in the back yard, the lack of siding, the floor rotting out, the plumbing leaking and cracking, the electrical box being on the outside of the house and being antique...and the list goes on and on!

Each child now has a bed to sleep on because Lou built them all bunk beds, and we gave them box springs and twin mattress. Caesar Swidan and Lou remodeled the entire upstairs so each child has their own space, boys with boys and girls with girls. The kids feel so proud of their new environment, they are beaming with pride!
